SiriusPoint appoints head of London and international casualty

London-based hire joins from Axa XL

Hamilton, Bermuda – May 17, 2022 – SiriusPoint Ltd. (NYSE: SPNT), a global specialty insurer and reinsurer, has hired Nick Pascall as its new head of London and international casualty. Pascall will be based in London and join SiriusPoint’s executive team, reporting to SiriusPoint CEO Paul McGonigle.

Pascall joins SiriusPoint from Axa XL, where was London casualty treaty underwriter and head of contingency. He also held previous roles at Partner Re and Willis Re.

In a statement, McGonigle said of Pascall’s hire: “Nick is a well-respected and highly regarded underwriter with a deep understanding of the global casualty market. He is a great addition to our senior leadership team, and I am confident that he will play a key role in the continued growth and success of our casualty business in London.”
