The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has released the official calendar for the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship, marking a significant milestone for the sport. The upcoming season boasts a record-breaking 24 Grands Prix, spanning across various continents and featuring some of the most iconic tracks in the sport's history.
Key Changes and New Additions
Several notable changes have been made to the 2024 calendar, including the return of the Chinese Grand Prix after a three-year absence. The Miami, Austrian, United States, São Paulo, and Qatar Grands Prix will also make a comeback, showcasing the sport's global reach. Additionally, the Las Vegas Grand Prix will make its highly anticipated debut, adding to the calendar's already impressive lineup.
The 2024 season will also feature a total of six sprint races, providing fans with even more excitement and unpredictable action on the track. The sprint races will be held at the Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Austria, Belgium, United States, and Brazil Grands Prix.
Calendar Dates and Venue Highlights
The season will kick off on March 3 at the Bahrain International Circuit, followed by a thrilling street race in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 10. The championship will then move to Melbourne, Australia, for the Australian Grand Prix on March 31. Other notable races include the Monaco Grand Prix on May 26, the iconic Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom on July 14, and the season finale at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on November 17.
