Gunners ease past Cherries with comfortable 3-0 win

Mikel Arteta's side remain unbeaten in the league this season

Arsenal maintained their position at the top of the Premier League table with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard and William Saliba secured all three points for the Gunners, who have now won five of their opening six games of the season.

Bournemouth started the game brightly and had a couple of early chances to take the lead, but Arsenal gradually began to assert their dominance and took the lead in the 11th minute when Jesus headed home from close range.

Odegaard doubled Arsenal's lead just before half-time with a stunning free-kick, and Saliba made sure of the points in the second half with a well-taken header.

The win sees Arsenal move two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table, while Bournemouth remain 12th.

Arsenal will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they travel to Brentford next weekend, while Bournemouth will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they host Fulham.
